Delicious Buffalo Chicken Strips Recipe
There is nothing better than a crispy chicken strip ... unless you like buffalo chicken strips! This recipe is perfect to use for an appetizer for a party or even as a main dish for your family. Instead of making the same old plain chicken, spice it up with this delicious buffalo chicken strips recipe. I know this recipe is not healthy by any means, but sometimes life calls for fried food. Trust me, you will love these buffalo chicken strips. I do not normally like spicy foods but these were really good. You can alter the recipe to taste. If you do not like it as spicy you can use less chili powder and hot sauce.
Buffalo Chicken Strips
Buffalo Chicken Strips Ingredients:
- 2 1/2 lb Chicken Breasts cut in strips or Chicken Tenderloins
- 2 1/4 cup Flour
- 1/4 cup Cornstarch
- 2 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Pepper
- 2 tsp Chili Powder
- 2 tsp Paprika
- 1 cup Milk
- 1/2 cup Water
- 1 Egg
- Vegetable Oil (for frying)
- 1 cup Hot Sauce
- 1/2 cup melted Margarine
- 1/4 cup Italian Dressing
Buffalo Chicken Strips Directions:
- Combine flour, cornstarch, salt, pepper, chili powder and paprika in a large zippered bag. Shake well to mix all of the ingredients together.
- Next, whisk together the milk, water and egg in a separate bowl.
- Pour enough oil in a skillet to fill 1" deep and place over medium heat.
- Coat each chicken piece individually by shaking in the flour bag. Then place the chicken in egg {shake off excess} and toss it back into the flour bag to coat.
- Cook in hot oil until golden brown {about 3 minutes per side}.
- Drain on paper towels.
- Combine margarine, hot sauce and dressing in a large bowl.
- Place each piece in sauce and toss to coat.
- Enjoy! You can serve with celery and blue cheese or ranch dressing.
