Potty Training Tips:
- Carry around a potty chair everywhere you go. This may seem ridiculous but it will actually help! My son loved the Soft Potty Seats that actually went on top of the toilet, so if we were in public restrooms he would not go without it. I was able to find a Folding Travel Potty Seat that I carried around in our diaper bag. I also suggest to help prevent accidents to have an actual potty chair in your car. Think of how much time is spent in the car especially if you are traveling.
- Always pack extra clothes along with a few pairs of underwear. You never know when and where your child will have an accident and you want to be prepared.
- Make sure you have your child use the restroom before you leave your house every single time. Honestly, it is more work trying to get out the door and making sure that he used the bathroom first, but it will pay off in the end. You want it to become a routine for them.
These tips have helped us to be successful in potty training our son. He does still have accidents from time to time, but overall he does an amazing job and we are so proud of him!
