The entire meal was under $20 and it fed 10 people {with leftovers}.I am not much of a cook, so I try to use our Crock Pot as much as possible because it makes dinner so simple. These Chicken Salsa Tacos are extremely easy to make especially for a busy parent. Below you will find all of the ingredients you need to make this recipe along with easy instructions.
Chicken Salsa Tacos Ingredients:
- Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts {I used 2 large breasts}
- 1 Jar of Salsa
- 1 Can of Diced Tomatoes
- 1 Can of Corn
- 1 Can of Diced Tomatoes with Green Chiles
- 1 Can of Chili Beens
- 1 Tsp. Ground Cumin
- Taco Shells
I bought all of the products at Dollar General, besides the Chicken. My total was only $13. The majority of the ingredients used were from the Dollar General brand, Clover Valley.
Chicken Salsa Tacos Instructions:
This is honestly extremely easy. Prep time is about 5 minutes. All you have to do is put all of the ingredients into the crockpot. I started by pouring the jar of salsa and then added the chicken. Next, add all of the other ingredients. I cooked mine on high for 4 hours, but you could also do low for 8 hours. You will know the chicken is done when you are able to easily shred it.
