Start visiting thrift stores and yard sales. Quite often you can find shelves, storage bins, containers and other useful organizational items for next to nothing at these places. Check the clearance sales at your local stores, especially after holidays when the holiday-themed stuff gets marked way down. If you do not care about the colors of the storage bins you use, these holiday-colored ones will work just fine. I love finding home organization items at our local Dollar Store. You can find some really great items for cheap!You can also repurpose things from around your house such as sauce jars, baby food jars, butter and sour cream containers. These types of things work great for storing small items like screws, buttons, paper clips, and cotton balls.
